Intelligent Content Management

SiteCM 3 was designed from the ground up to allow you and your other content owners to make changes to content without worrying about the Integrities of HTML and links between pages, images, and documents  within your site.  There has been several advancements in the Content editor that make SiteCM 3 stand out from other CMS's on the market.

1. Smart 404's  when you site has been index from search engines like Google or yahoo no-one has control over the pages they spider.  Our system keeps track of file name changes and will ensure that when Google comes back to a page that no longer exists they will be directed to the appropriate page or told to remove the page from their cache.  (Coming Release 3.0.60)
2. Link checking and Correction:  SiteCM will automatically modify all pages on your site that link to pages when the filenames are changed.  In the event that a 404 does occur our Smart 404 application will have a record of the changes and direct the person to the appropriate pages.
3. Dynamic Image Sizing:  When you are editing the content in your site you do not want to have to ensure that your image is the appropriate size when you go to use it.  Our system will automatically determine the size you are using and resize the image accordingly.  Our system also prevents a content owner from skewing the image by automatically fixing the Aspect Ratio of the image when it is saved. 
4. Image Replacements:  If you have a image on a few pages of your site you are able to change them all at once by replacing the image in the image manager.  SiteCM will determine the appropriate size of each image and resize and ensure the aspect ratio is correct on every page.
5. Intelligent Indexing and Search:  The SiteCM search now uses more then just a simple keyword phrase.  Of course its no Google, but our system will now search documents, images, and web pages all at the same time and you can control what you want to display to the user.
6. Page Locking:  A common problem is that two people want to and attempt to edit a document at the same time.  SiteCM Prevents this by locking the page for editing.  Once the person who is editing the page saves and closes their editor window the page is unlocked so other can now make changes.  SiteCM Also have a more permanent locking mechanism which allows a content owner to lock the page over many edits.  This is important if a content owner is doing a major re-work to the document and doesn't want anyone making changes.
7. Time Release Changes:  Many organizations have their content ready for their web site weeks in advance of the time its suppose to go live.  This was traditionally because they needed web developers to create and link in the pages.  SiteCM has powerful scheduling of content changes allowing an entire page to go live on a specific day and at a specific time.  With this feature you can enter the content on a friday before a long weekend and have it launch automatically monday morning at 3am.

Prevention of Common error

1. Prevent Broken Images:  When you attempt to delete an image from your site, SiteCM will automatically parse all the pages to determine if the image is in use, and if so tell you the pages it is on.  This allows the site not to have broken images and makes your content look more professional.
2. Prevent 404 Errors:  SiteCM through its Smart 404 Application and its Link Checking and Correct will automatically fix any links to to Pages or documents that have changed file names
3. Spell Checking: SiteCM has a new and improved HTML Editor that supports Spell checking.  Before you save your page just click the "Spell Check" button and your document will be proof read.
